Day 1: STEM Exploration

• 9:00 AM – 9:30 AM: Welcome and Introductions
• 9:30 AM – 12:00 noon: Introduction to magnets, exploring magnets, circuits and how the magnets and circuits relate to electricity. Write about what you learnt in the class.
• 12:00 AM: Supervised Snack/Lunch

Day 2: Magnetic Attraction

• 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM: Testing the law of attraction of magnets with different materials.
• 10:00 AM – 12:00 noon: Making a compass and learning about Earth’s magnetic field
• 12:00 AM: Supervised Snack/Lunch

Day 3: Building a simple circuit

• 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM: What is electricity? How does the electricity flow?
• 10 AM – 12 noon: Learn to build a circuit with the materials provided
• 12:00 AM: Supervised Snack/Lunch

Day 4: Electromagnetism

• 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM: Learn about electromagnetism
• 10 AM – 12 noon: Experiments to learn how magnetism and electricity are interconnected.
• 12:00 AM: Supervised Snack/Lunch

Day 5: Project Day

• 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM: Group Project Planning Session (students choose a STEM project to work on together)
• 10:00 AM – 12 noon: Project Work Time (building, experimenting, problem-solving and writing)
• 12:00 AM: Supervised Snack/Lunch, Project Presentations
